GOPers and Libs Blowing up over U.S. TikTok Ban Starting This Sunday

Earlier this summer, Donald Trump decided he wanted to ban TikTok in the U.S.

TikTok is owned by a Chinese company, ByteDance, and the argument is that the Chinese government has been using TikTok to spy on Americans and possibly steal sensitive information from users' phones.

Well this Sunday, finally, for real, possibly, the ban will actually go into effect. It will only stop phones based in the U.S. internet region from downloading TikTok, but any phone here that already has it will be unaffected.

Some smooth brained people choose to see this as a righteous protection of national privacy.

Others who understand that the U.S. government already spies on people through their phones and that companies like Facebook pose a real threat to the country's future, see this as a minor distraction from the 200,000 COVID-19 deaths in the U.S.
